I've created a new category tab called 'IOT' on this blog.

I've had a need for home automation for a long time, and I've been thinking about it continuously. After moving to this new place, I finally started home automation in earnest.

Actually, I've wanted to do home automation for a long time. However, I've been busy with work and have several side projects going on, so I could never find the time. (To be honest, living in a studio or one-bedroom apartment meant there wasn't much need for automation. Like, why bother?)

But recently, I moved to an apartment, and I found myself in a situation where I need to continuously manage the home.

So, like a developer, I decided to automate repetitive tasks.

I'm going to write about building and utilizing an IOT system.

Rather than a vague Getting Started guide, it will be more like a user experience sharing what worked well and what didn't after actually operating the system.
